(LEBANON, Ill., March 12)--The pairings are set for the 2008 NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Championship. The 32-team tournament will be held March 19-25 at Oman Arena in Jackson, Tenn.

The American Midwest Conference had two schools qualify for this year's tournament, and both will see first-round action on Wednesday, March 19. McKendree University, which won the AMC regular-season and tournament championships, will face Lewis-Clark State College in the final game of the day at 9:45 p.m. Harris-Stowe State University, which earned an at-large bid to Jackson, will square off with Oklahoma City University on March 19 at 10:15 a.m.

McKendree enters the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Championship riding a 13-game win streak. The Bearcats are 24-8 overall and posted a 13-1 mark in AMC play. McKendree is led by a pair of All-Conference performers in junior forward Emily Best (13.5 PPG, 5.4 RPG) and senior forward Heather Elders (11.6 PPG).

Harris-Stowe takes a record of 22-9 into the national tournament. The Hornets were second in the AMC at 12-2. Senior guard Chanel Ross, who was named the 2007-08 AMC Player of the Year, leads NAIA Division I in both assists (8.0 APG) and steals (6.7 SPG) and is third in scoring at 20.6 PPG.
