Mason comes to William Woods from Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Mason spent one year as the head coach at Iowa Central CC. During his one season at Iowa Central CC, the Triton’s went 8-10-1, and advanced to the Region XI Tournament. They were eliminated in the second round of the Regional Tournament by Marshalltown Community College.
Prior to Iowa Central CC, Coach Mason served as the head women’s soccer coach at Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kansas, in 2006. Mason guided Neosho CC to the Region Semi-finals that season. The two previous seasons, Mason served as an assistant men’s coach at Neosho County.
“Coach Nathan Mason brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to William Woods University as he begins a new era in men’s soccer,” said Larry York, Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at William Woods. “Coach Mason has successful head coaching experience and since he played at McKendree University he is very familiar with the other conference schools. Coach Josh Ganson will continue to coach the women and Coach Mason will work exclusively with the men. Both teams will receive the individual attention they need to be able to compete at a high level with other NAIA institutions, particularly those in our conference and region."
