Zoe Brittan had three hits and four RBI in the Owls' doubleheader split with Central Methodist
(LEBANON, Ill., May 6)--William Woods University swept its way to the final American Midwest Conference softball awards for the 2008 season.

For the second consecutive week, Zoe Brittan has been selected as the AMC Softball Player of the Week, while Courtney Vincent earned AMC Softball Pitcher of the Week accolades. The honors were announced Tuesday morning by the conference office.

Brittan, a freshman infielder from Valley Park, Mo., collected three hits in seven at-bats as William Woods split a non-conference doubleheader at home against Central Methodist University. Brittan added four RBI, three of which came in the Owls' 12-4 game two victory.

Vincent, a freshman from Woodlawn, Ill., gave up three earned runs on eight hits in that 8-4 William Woods win over Central Methodist. Vincent struck out eight batters in six innings of work as the Owls improved to 29-20 on the season.
