Liesl Nauck turned in a record-setting performance to win the H.W. Wright Classic at Millikin University
(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 22)--Liesl Nauck from Hannibal-LaGrange College has been honored as the American Midwest Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for Oct. 20. The award is voted on weekly by the league's cross country coaches.

Nauck, a sophomore from Andover, Kan., ran away from the pack in winning the H.W. Wright Classic held last Friday in Decatur, Ill. Nauck won the women's six-kilometer race in a time of 25:11, finishing one minute, 44 seconds in front of meet's runner-up. Despite running in cold, rainy weather, Nauck set a course record in the event.
The Hannibal-LaGrange College cross country teams will race again on Saturday at the NAIA Mid-States Classic in Winfield, Kan.
