(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 13)--McKendree University rolled to a 5-0 victory against William Woods University Thursday in the championship match of the 2008 American Midwest Conference Women's Soccer Tournament.

Junior midfielder Sulyn Keomanivane had two goals and two assists, while junior forward Sarah Ryan chipped in with a pair of goal and an assist to lead the Bearcats to their sixth consecutive AMC crown. McKendree, ranked No. 17 in the latest NAIA coaches' poll, improves to 18-1-1 overall.

The victory gives McKendree the conference's automatic berth to the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round, which will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22 at campus sites. Pairings will be announced on Sunday, Nov. 16 Winners from the 15 opening-round matches from across the nation will advance to a final 16-team, single-elimination national championship which will take place Dec. 1-6 in Daytona Beach, Fla. The championship is being hosted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
