Liz Yanko made eight saves in the Bearcats' 1-0 win over No. 23-ranked Lindenwood
(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 4)--Beth Rayman from the University of Illinois at Springfield and Liz Yanko from McKendree University are the Nov. 3 honorees for American Midwest Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week. The honors were selected Monday evening by the league office.

Rayman, a freshman forward from Lincoln, Ill., was selected as the AMC Offensive Player of the Week for her performance in the Prairie Stars' 7-0 home victory over Harris-Stowe State University. Rayman established a new program record with four goals. Two of the tallies came within a four-minute span for Rayman. The University of Illinois at Springfield is in its first season sponsoring women's soccer and has an overall record of 4-7.

Yanko, a sophomore goalkeeper from St. Louis, Mo., continued her outstanding play in goal for the No. 17-ranked McKendree women's program. This week's AMC Defensive Player of the Week won both of her starts last week, including a 1-0 shutout at home against Lindenwood University, which was ranked No. 23 in the NAIA. Yanko had eight saves in the contest. Yanko improved to 16-0-1 on the year with five shutouts and a goals-against average of 0.53.
