(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 12)--Flavia Lino has been honored by the American Midwest Conference as its Volleyball Player of the Week for Nov. 3-9.

Lino, a junior outside hitter from Sao Paulo, Brazil. helped the Cougars wrap up their 2008 in strong fashion with a 3-1 match victory on the road against NCAA Division II member Missouri S & T (formerly Missouri-Rolla). Lino registered 20 kills in the win. She also added four digs, four service aces and three blocks.

Columbia closed its regular season with an overall record of 36-3. The Cougars are ranked No. 5 in the NAIA and hold the top seed in this week's AMC Tournament.
