William Woods Women's Golf Completes Day Two

(RAPID CITY, S.D., May 13) - The William Woods University women's golf team completed day two at the 2009 NAIA National Championships.  The tournament is being held at the Meadowbrook Golf Course in Rapid City, South Dakota.  The 8th ranked Owls shot an opening round 331, and a second round 344 (+99).  William Woods is competing in its sixth consecutive NAIA National Championship.

The Owls are tied for 17th place.  Defending NAIA Champions Oklahoma City University leads the field with rounds of 302 and 311.  They are +37 over the first two days.
 
Freshman Jada Bennington (Beloit, Wisc.) is tied for 55th place after two days.  Bennington shot rounds of 84 and 82 (+22).

Charleen Cruchelow (Waukee, Iowa) - 80, 88 (+24) = Tied for 68th

Ceanne Kressig (Salisbury, Mo.) - 84, 85 (+24) = Tied for 77th
