Philiph Tonui
(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 20)--Philiph Tonui from Hannibal-LaGrange College is the Oct. 19 honoree as the American Midwest Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Tonui, a sophomore from Kericho, Kenya, won the Illinois College Invitational last Saturday. He covered the course with a winning time of 26:17, which gave him a 13-second victory. It marked Tonui's second race victory in 2009.
