(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 27)--Dustin Freitag of Hannibal-LaGrange College has been honored as the American Midwest Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Joe Sagar of McKendree University has collected the league's Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week award for Oct. 19-25.
Freitag, a freshman forward from Frankfort, Germany, scored three goals against two nationally-ranked teams last week for the Trojans. Freitag scored twice in a 4-3 Hannibal-LaGrange victory over No. 8-ranked Columbia College. He also had a goal in a 2-1 loss at No. 13 McKendree University.
