Dustin Freitag collected seven points in the Trojans' final two AMC contests
(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 3)--The American Midwest Conference has announed its final recipients of Men's Soccer Player of the Week honors for 2009.

Dustin Freitag of Hannibal-LaGrange College repeated as the AMC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Ken Searles of Columbia College was tabbed as the AMC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Both individuals were recognized for their play in games from Oct. 26-Nov. 1.

Freitag, a freshman forward from Frankfort, Germany, played a big role in the Trojans' final two AMC contests of the year. He had two goals in a 4-1 home victory over Missouri Baptist University. Freitag followed that with a goal and assist in Hannibal-LaGrange's 4-1 road win at William Woods University.

Searles, a junior goalkeeper from St. George's, Grenada, was a rock in goal for the Cougars as they notched a 1-0 upset victory on the road against NCAA Division II member Truman State University, which was ranked No. 17 at the time. Searles collected three saves as Columbia, the No. 11 team in the NAIA, improved to 13-4-1 overall.
