(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 12)--Second-seeded Missouri Baptist University built a 3-0 lead and withstood a late comeback bid from No. 1 seed McKendree University to record a 3-2 victory in the championship game of the American Midwest Conference Women's Soccer Tournament Thursday in Lebanon, Ill.

With the victory, the Spartans receive a berth in the field for the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship. First-round play will be held on Saturday, Nov. 21, with the final-site games to be played Nov. 30-Dec. 5 in Decatur, Ala. First-round pairings will be announced on Sunday, Nov. 15 by the NAIA National Office.
