Cate Eckhardt and the Columbia Cougars have the top seed in the 2009 AMC Volleyball Tournament
(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 14)--Columbia College completed a sweep through the American Midwest Conference in 2009 by winning the AMC Volleyball Tournament championship Saturday at home against William Woods University. The top-seeded Cougars won the best-of-five match over the second-seeded Owls by scores of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-19.

With the victory, Columbia earns the AMC's automatic bid to the NAIA Volleyball National Championship, which will be held Dec. 1-5 in Sioux City, Iowa.
