Herschel Rodgers has scored in double figures in all but one Park game in 2009-10
(LEBANON, Ill., Dec. 8)--Herschel Rodgers of Park University has been named as the American Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 30-Dec. 6.

Rodgers, a senior guard/forward from Lansing, Mich., helped the Pirates to their sixth win in eight tries in an 80-70 triumph against Peru State College. Rodgers netted 20 points with five rebounds and three steals in the contest. He was 6-of-10 from the field (60 percent) and made 8-of-10 free throw attempts (80 percent).

For Rodgers, this was his fourth outing of 20 or more points in the last five games for Park, which has evened its season record at 6-6. In 11 of the Pirates' 12 games, Rodgers has reached double digits in the scoring column, with six 20-point efforts to his credit. He enters the week ranked fourth in NAIA Division I in total steals, and is 10th in scoring.
