(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 11)--Liesl Nauck of Hannibal-LaGrange College has been selected as the American Midwest Conferece Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for Oct. 10.

Nauck, a freshman from Andover, Kan., was 81st out of 213 runners at the Border Wars Cross Country Championship in Edwardsville, Ill. On a warm and humid day in southwestern Illinois, Nauck ran a personal-best 21:12 on the five-kilometer course. She shaved nearly a minute off her previous best.
