Jessica Moore poured in 28.5 points in two Missouri Baptist wins last week
(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 8)--Jessica Moore of Missouri Baptist University was selected as the American Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 8. Moore was honored for her performance in games played from Feb. 1-7.

Moore, a junior forward from Belleville, Ill., averaged 28.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in leading the Spartans to a pair of AMC wins last week. In addition, Moore connected on 61.3 percent of her field goal attempts (19-of-31) and was 19-of-26 from the free throw line (73.1 percent). She also registered four blocked shots, three steals and an assist on the week.

Moore scored at least 25 points in each of Missouri Baptist's games last week. She posted 25 points along with 11 rebounds in a 75-74 overtime home victory against Park University. Moore then followed that by pouring in a season-high 32 points as the Spartans held off Stephens College this past Saturday, 70-66.

For the season, Moore leads Missouri Baptist and the AMC in scoring at 18.5 points per game, while she has connected on nearly 56 percent of her field goal attempts. That figure also leads all AMC players. Missouri Baptist University is currently 14-8 overall and 6-4 in conference play.
