Katie Fullerton helped lead the Bearcats to the 20-win mark for the ninth straight year
(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 16)--Katie Fullerton of McKendree University is the Feb. 15 honoree as the American Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Fullerton, a junior guard from Coulterville, Ill., was recognized for her play in games from Feb. 8-14. In two Bearcat victories last week, Fullerton averaged 17 points, seven rebounds and three assists per contest. She shot 61.9 percent from the field (13-of-21) and was 7-of-9 from the free throw line. Fulleron also added a pair of steals on the week.

In a 76-59 McKendree upset of No. 10-ranked Columbia College, Fullerton posted 12 points, six rebounds and four assists. The loss was the first conference defeat of the season for Columbia. Fullerton then followed with a 22-point, eight-rebound performance at Missouri Baptist University.

McKendree, now 20-5 overall and 10-2 in the AMC, have now won 20 games in ninth consecutive seasons. The Bearcats are currently ranked No. 14 in NAIA Division I.

Fullerton is second on the Bearcats' squad in scoring at 12.2 points per game. She is also second in assists with 74 and rebounding at 5.9 per contest. Fullerton leads McKendree in free throw percentage at 84.1 percent.
