Brandon Roberson poured in 30 points in the Spartans' upset win over No. 7 McKendree University
(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 16)--For the second consecutive week, Brandon Roberson of Missouri Baptist University has been named the American Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Roberson, a senior guard from Rosharon, Texas, averaged 26.5 points and shot a blistering 71.4 percent from the field (20-of-28) in two victories last week for MissourI Baptist. In addition, Roberson made 7-of-9 shots from three-point range (77.8 percent).

The AMC's leading scorer began his week with 23 points in an 82-80 road victory at Harris-Stowe State University. Roberson saved his best performance for last as he poured in a game-high 30 points -- 19 of which came in the second half -- in leading Missouri Baptist to a come-from-behind 81-78 upset win at home against McKendree University, the No. 7 team in NAIA Division I. Roberson was 11-of-12 from the field, including a perfect 5-for-5 from three-point range, in the win. The Spartans trailed by 18 points early in the second half before rallying.

Roberson pushed his season scoring average back up to 20 points per outing after his performances last week. He is also averaging five rebounds per contest for Missouri Baptist, which is now 14-12 overall and 5-5 in the AMC.
