(LEBANON, Ill., March 30)--Williams Baptist College has made a clean sweep of the American Midwest Conference softball honors for March 29.

The Eagles' Marissa Hoehn has been recognized as the AMC Softball Pkayer of the Week, while Karisa Hendrix was selected as the AMC Softball Pitcher of the Week. The awards were given for achievements in games played from March 22-28.

Hoehn, a senior third baseman from Farmington, Mo., batted a sizzling .643 for the week (9-of-14). She had at least two hits in all four of Williams Baptist's games last week, adding a pair of doubles and two RBI. Hoehn also scored six runs and stole two bases.  Hoehn went 5-for-7 in the Eagles' doubleheader sweep of then-No. 17 Union University (Tenn.), 6-0 and 8-3. She also did not commit an error in 12 chances on the week.

Hendrix, a freshman from Cherokee Village, Ark., pitched all 14 innings in the twinbill sweep of Union. During that span, she allowed nine hits while striking out 13 batters. Hendrix registered 10 strikeouts in the 6-0 win, tossing a two-hitter in the process.
