Members of the Missouri Baptist University community joined together for
the official groundbreaking of the brand new Spartan Sports and
Recreation Complex on Tuesday, April 6, 2010.
Though work began
over the winter, MBU campus officials celebrated the official
groundbreaking on a beautiful Spring day alongside MBU faculty, staff,
students, board members, and friends. The groundbreaking also marked the
beginning of construction of Spartan Village, a new residential
community
The new 47,000 square feet, Sports and Recreation
Complex will include a
1,000 seat gymnasium, a suspended indoor track, locker rooms, a
concession area in Spartan Hall, an expanded training and fitness
center, new classrooms, offices for faculty and coaching staff, and will
house Missouri Baptist University's Health and Sports Sciences
division.
