Missouri Baptist Head Baseball Coach Eddie Uschold has reached his 400th career victory at Missouri Baptist University. Coach Uschold earned the 399th and 400th victories on Tuesday (April 20).

The coaching milestone for Uschold capped off an exciting day in Spartan baseball. MBU swept the 13th-ranked Union University (Tenn.) Bulldogs in a home double header. The Spartans hit twelve home runs in the series, featuring an 11-10 come-from-behind seven-inning victory in game one and a 12-1 five-inning domination of the Bulldogs in game two.

In addition to the upset wins over Union, the Spartans broke into the Coaches' Top 25 Poll for the first time this season on Tuesday. The Spartans sit at 22nd, with a 32-11 overall record. They hold the lead in the American Midwest Conference with a 15-1 mark.

Coach Uschold, the winningest coach in MBU baseball history, reaches the 400-win milestone in just his eleventh season with the Spartans. He boasts an MBU record of 400-218-2 and an overall coaching record of 416-242-2.

He has led his MBU squads to five American Midwest Conference Championships ('02, '03, '04, '07, '08) and one NAIA Region V Championship ('08). He has been named the American Midwest Conference Coach of the Year four times ('03, '04. '07, '08) and the NAIA Region V Coach of the Year one time ('03).

He has also coached 20 NAIA All-Americans, 25 All-Region players, 52 first team All-Conference players, three AMC Pitchers of the Year, one AMC Player of the Year, and six AMC Newcomers of the Year.
