(LEBANON, Ill., April 27)--The final American Midwest Conference softball award winners for 2010 have been announced by the conference office.

Nicole Ostertag of McKendree University has been named the AMC Softball Player of the Week, while Courtney Vincent of William Woods University has been chosen as the AMC Softball Pitcher of the Week. The honors cover accomplishments from games played from April 19-25.

Ostertag, a senior outfielder from O'Fallon, Mo., posted a .417 batting average on the week with five hits in 12 at-bats. Ostertag had two doubles and three RBI in those contests. Her most productive game came in the Bearcats' lone victory of the week, a 3-2 triumph over No. 20-ranked Olivet Nazarene University. Ostertag went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI.

Ostertag leads McKendree in batting average at .367. She has a home run and 21 runs batted in this season.

Vincent, a junior from Woodlawn, Ill., tossed a pair of shutouts in her two appearances last week. She gave up just two hits in the Owls' 4-0 AMC win at Stephens College. Vincent followed that with a six-hitter in a 5-0 win over No. 16-ranked University of Houston-Victoria.

On the season, Vincent is 11-10 with a 2.54 earned-run average. She has tossed 14 complete games in her 22 starts.
