The Cougars were 12-4 in AMC play this season
(LEBANON, Ill., May 7)--Top-seeded Columbia College continued its dominance of the American Midwest Conference Tournament, sweeping No. 3 McKendree University to win the league's post-season crown, two games to none. The Cougars posted shutout victories of 3-0 and 2-0 over the Bearcats on Friday in Columbia, Mo.

With the AMC Tournament finals victory, Columbia earns the conference's automatic bid to the NAIA Softball National Championship, which will be held May 20-26 at Wilson Morgan Softball Complex in Decatur, Ala. The remaining qualifiers will be announced Monday, along with the release of the national championship pool-play schedule.
