(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 18)--Kristi Palmer of William Woods University has been honored as the American Midwest Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for Oct. 17.

Palmer, a freshman from Ste. Genevieve, Mo., was 33rd out of 210 runners at the NAIA Mid-States Meet in Winfield, Kan. She recorded a time of 20:07 on a five-kilometer course. Palmer was the Owls' top runner for the fourth consecutive meet.

For Palmer, this is the second time in 2007 that she has captured AMC Runner of the Week honors.
