(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 18)--Brent Almand of William Woods University is the Oct. 17 recipient of American Midwest Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors.

Almand, a junior from The Woodlands, Texas, took 19th place out of 234 runners at the NAIA Mid-States Meet in Winfield, Kan. Almand covered the eight-kilometer course in a time of 26:55. He was the top finisher in the meet for the Owls.

This marks Almand's first AMC Runner of the Week award in 2007.
