McKendree's Andy Wolff leads the AMC in assists
(LEBANON, Ill., March 8)--Reco Anderson poured in a game-high 25 points to lead third-seeded Park University to a 72-59 victory Tuesday evening at McKendree University in the championship game of the 2011 American Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Tournament.

Melvin Gatson came off the bench to add 14 points as the Pirates grabbed the lead early and withstood several comeback bids from the top-seeded Bearcats to register the victory. Park, now 21-8 on the season, earns the AMC's automatic bid to the NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo. Qualifiers and pairings will be announced Wednesday.

David Ruckman paced McKendree with 20 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. AMC Player of the Year Eric Hobbie connected for 18 points along with 10 rebounds for the Bearcats. McKendree is now 20-12 overall and must await word to see if it will earn an at-large bid to the NAIA Tournament,.
