St. Louis, Mo. - William Woods University guard Sharron Andrews has been named the American Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her efforts from January 2-7, 2012.
The senior Hayward, Calif. native posted her third double-double of the season last week in the Owls lone contest of the week. William Woods defeated former AMC member McKendree University 56-47 on the road to improve their record to 10-4 this season. Andrews dropped in a game-high 17 points, going 6-of-14 from the field, and pulled down 10 rebounds in the victory. She also managed to dish out four assists, block a shot and collect three steals.
Through 14 contests Sharron is leading her squad in scoring, 13.69 points per game, assists, 2.31 per game and in steals, 3.0 per game. She is ranked 19th in the NAIA in steals per game and 25th in total steals.
