St. Louis, Mo. - Columbia College Lady Cougar forward Julie Teeple has been named American Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week this week after leading the Lady Cougars to two AMC victories last week.

Teeple helped the Columbia Lady Cougars to an upset win over Park University on Thursday before leading Columbia to their second win of the week over Stephens College on Saturday. Against the Pirates of Park University, the junior from Versailles, Mo., pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds and dropped in 16 points. Teeple followed the performance against Park with a team and game-high 18 points against Stephens College two days later. 

Julie ranks No. 23 in the NAIA in total rebounds with 148 this season while helping her Lady Cougars to a 12-6 record this season and a perfect 2-0 in AMC play.
