Player of the Week - Jerry Hodges, Harris-Stowe State College

Lebanon, Ill. –  Jerry Hodges, a junior third baseman for Harris-Stowe State College, is the AMC Player of the Week for March 28-April 3. Hodges, a junior from Michigan City, Ind., batted .560 for the week with a 1.040 slugging percentage in helping the Hornets to five victories in eight outings. Hodges went 14-for-25 at the plate with six doubles, two home runs and 12 RBI. He also drew three walks and stole one base. For the season, Hodges is batting .505 with an .887 slugging percentage, seven home runs and 14 doubles. Hodges is currently riding a 19-game hit streak.

Pitcher of the Week – Jesse Bahr, Missouri Baptist University

Lebanon, Ill. – Jesse Bahr, a right-hander from Missouri Baptist University, has been selected as the AMC Pitcher of the Week for March 28-April 3. Bahr, a senior from Ferguson, Mo., tossed a three-hit shutout in the Spartans' 5-0 victory over Culver-Stockton College. Bahr walked three and struck out five to raise his record to 5-2 on the season. For the season, Bahr has compiled a 1.94 ERA in seven starts, allowing just nine earned runs in 41 2/3 innings.
