2007 Player and Pitcher of the Week Honorees

Lebanon, Ill. – Kyle Christiansen of William Woods University has been selected as the American Midwest Conference Baseball Player of the Week for April 2. Christiansen, a 6-1 junior from St. Charles, Mo., made his only game of the week a memorable one in the Owls' 14-10 victory against Missouri Valley College. Christiansen went 4-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI. The William Woods shortstop also scored three runs in the contest as the Owls have jumped out to a 15-10 start in 2007. for April 2. Selb, a junior from Woodland Hills, Calif., allowed two earned
runs in a complete-game, 9-4 victory against Williams Baptist College. Selb
walked just one batter and struck out nine in the effort, which helped the
Hornets out to the early lead in the AMC standings at 2-0. |
