Player of the Week –Yamil Maisonet, Missouri Baptist College

Columbia, Mo. –Yamil Maisonet, a senior designated hitter and first baseman for the Missouri Baptist College Spartans, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week in men's baseball for the week of March 12-18. Maisonet, a native of Casuas, Puerto Rico, tallied 14 hits in 31 appearances at the plate last week, including five doubles and two home runs. Against two NCAA Division II teams and two top 20 NAIA squads, the right-hander recorded a .452 batting average and eight RBIs.

Pitcher of the Week – Jonathon Kars, Missouri Baptist College

Columbia, Mo. – Jonathon Kars, a freshman left-hander for the Missouri Baptist College Spartans, has been named the American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week in men's baseball for the week of March 12-18. In 8.33 innings on the mound last week, the Chesterfield, Mo. product allowed only one earned run and seven hits against two NCAA Division II opponents. 

Also Nominated: **Toby Doke, Williams Baptist College.
