Player of the Week – Eddie Breuchaud, McKendree College Kirksville, MO - For the second consecutive week, Eddie Breuchaud, an outfielder for the McKendree College Bearcats, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week in men’s baseball. Breuchaud hit .667 for the week, collecting eight hits in 12 trips to the plate. In an 11-0 victory over Iowa Wesleyan College, the left-hander from Greenville, Ill. hit two home runs and totaled five RBIs. In the same contest, Breuchaud also pitched a no-hitter for the Bearcats. For the week, Breuchaud scored six runs, hit one double and three home runs and recorded 11 RBIs. Also nominated: Quenton Childers, William Woods University; Chris Allen, Hannibal-LaGrange College; Luis Martinez, Missouri Baptist College. Pitcher of the Week – Zach Lamb, William Woods University Kirksville, MO - Zach Lamb, a 6-2 pitcher for the William Woods University Owls, has been named the American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week in men's baseball. In his 10 innings on the mound, the right-hander recorded an ERA of 2.80, allowing four earned runs. For the week, Lamb collected one win and one tie, permitting seven hits and striking out 13 batters. |
