Player of the Week - Matt Laur, McKendree College Columbia, MO - For the second consecutive week, Matt Laur, a 6-11 senior center for the McKendree Bearcats, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week in men's basketball. Laur moved into second place on McKendree's all-time scoring list vs. Indiana-Northwest last week, totaling 33 points and moving his overall total as a Bearcat to 2,389. The Kinmundy, Ill. native led McKendree to a 2-0 week, averaging 27.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.5 blocks and 2.5 steals. He shot 65 percent from field, connecting on 24 of his 37 field goal attempts. Also nominated: Khamari Ballard, Columbia College; Ashley Ukah, Missouri Baptist University. |
