Men's Basketball - Andre Amos, Columbia College

Andre Amos is the AMC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 22-28. The 6-4 senior guard led the Columbia Cougars to two league wins last week, totaling 51 points for an average of 25.5 points. Amos, who hails from Little Rock, Ark., also averaged seven rebounds, 4.5 assists, a steal and a block in each victory. He shot 63 percent from the field and 57 percent from beyond the three-point, connecting on ten of his 18 tries from long range.

Women's Basketball - Lisa Kowalewski, Columbia College

The AMC Player of the Week in women's basketball for Feb. 22-28 is Lisa Kowalewski. Kowalewski led the Lady Cougars to the AMC Regular Season title, averaging 23.5 points in Columbia's final league wins over William Woods University and McKendree College. The junior guard shot 57 percent from the field in the two games, dropping in 17-of-30 from the field. She was also a perfect six-for-six from the freethrow line and 7-for-16 from the three-point line. In addition, Kowalewski averaged 4.5 rebounds, two assists, 2.5 blocks and 2.5 steals.
