2004 All-Conference Team

March 8, 2004 Charliss Ridley named AMC Player of the Year In a vote by league coaches, Charliss Ridley, a 6-0 forward for the Lady Cougars, is the 2003-04 AMC’s most valuable player, as well as its newcomer of the year. Ridley, who hails from Wheaton, Ill., played in 27 games in her first season as a Lady Cougar. She averaged 17.5 points and 7.8 rebounds, leading her squad in both categories.
Ridley shot 45 percent from the field, dropping in 110 of her 243 field
goal attempts. In addition, she was 118-for-135 from the freethrow line
during the regular season, ranking her fourth in NAIA Division I and
second in the AMC at 87 percent. Ridley also passed out 41 assists and
swiped 32 steals. A complete list of the 10-member AMC All-Conference team, the honorable mention squad and the academic all-conference team, is included on the following pages. Members of the academic all-conference team have earned at least a cumulative 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. |
