Men's Basketball - Aaron Edwards, Columbia College
Aaron Edwards of Columbia College has been selected as the AMC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 14. Edwards, a 6-1 senior guard from Troy, Ill., led the Cougars to a pair of league victories last week, including a 63-57 upset win of No. 10-ranked McKendree College. Edwards averaged 13 points, four rebounds and four assists in the two wins. His most productive outing came at McKendree, where he posted 14 points, six rebounds and six assists. Edwards shot nearly 44 percent from the field and 73 percent from the free throw line. He also connected on 4-of-8 attempts from three-point range.

Women's Basketball - Lisa Kowalewski, Columbia College
Lisa Kowalewski of Columbia College has been named the AMC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 14, marking the second consecutive week that Kowalewski has won the award. On the week Kowalewski averaged 26 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4 assists per game in helping the Cougars push their conference record to 10-0 on the season. Against Missouri Baptist University, Kowalewski recorded a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds and narrowly missed a second double-double on the week recording 27 points and eight rebounds against Harris-Stowe State College. On the week she shot 57-percent from the floor and hit on 10-of-12 free throw shots and 8-of-13 three-point field goals.
