Men's Basketball - Chance Smith, Williams Baptist College
Chance Smith of Williams Baptist College is the AMC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 7. Smith, a 6-6 junior center from Bono, Ark., averaged 25.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in two outings last week. Smith poured in 33 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the Eagles' 86-79 AMC win at Harris-Stowe State College. He added 18 points against Missouri Baptist University on Saturday. Smith connected on 78.6 percent of his field goal attempts for the week and was 7-of-8 from the free throw line.

Women's Basketball - Lisa Kowalewski, Columbia College
Lisa Kowalewski of Columbia College has been named the AMC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 7. Kowalewski, a 5-9 senior guard from St. Charles, Mo., averaged 27 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in helping the Cougars to two wins last week. Against McKendree College, Kowalewski scored 34 points while grabbing five rebounds and dishing out six assists. Against Hannibal-LaGrange College, she scored 20 points and in doing so became Columbia College's all-time leading scorer in men's and women's basketball with 1,887 career points. Kowalewski hit on 57-percent of her shots on the week, including 8-of-17 on three-point field goals.
