Men's Basketball - Jeremy Clark, Harris-Stowe State College

Harris-Stowe State College has earned American Midwest Conference Men's
Basketball Player of the Week honors for Jan. 31. Clark, a 6-4 sophomore
forward from St. Louis, Mo., led the Hornets to a perfect 3-0 record on
the week, including a 70-67 home victory against Hannibal-LaGrange College
on Jan. 27. That marked Harris-Stowe's first AMC victory in nearly two
years. In that game, Clark poured in 27 points with nine rebounds. For the
week, Clark averaged 19.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per contest. He shot 50
percent from the field, including 3-of-8 from three-point range. Clark
also made 14-of-16 attempts from the free throw line (87.5 percent). He
also added four steals, three assists and one blocked shot for the week.

Women's Basketball - LaTrice McMichel, Missouri Baptist University
LaTrice McMichel of Missouri Baptist University has been named the
American Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Jan.
31. McMichel, a 6-0 guard from Indianapolis, Ind., averaged 26.3 points,
7.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in helping the Spartans to a 2-1 record last
week. McMichel scored a school-record 40 points against Hannibal-LaGrange
College and followed that with a 21 point and 10 rebound game against
Harris-Stowe State College. On the week she shot 58-percent from the
floor, including 80-percent from the free-throw line and 58-percent from
three-point field goal range.
