Men's Basketball - Joe Rothweiler, Missouri Baptist University
Joe Rothweiler of Missouri Baptist University is the American Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 9. Rothweiler led the Spartans to a pair of wins last week, averaging 22.5 points, six rounds and three assists per contest. He poured in 27 points, going 7-of-11 from three-point range, in a 92-84 victory against Park University. For the week, Rothweiler shot an impressive 62 percent from the field (15-of-24), including a 59 percent effort (10-of-17) from beyond the three-point arc. He also made all five free throw attempts. Missouri Baptist is now 14-4 overall.

Women's Basketball - Emily Hart, McKendree College
Emily Hart, of McKendree College, has been named the American Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 2-8. Hart, a 5-11 junior forward, scored 20 points while grabbing a game-high 12 rebounds in the Bearcats' lone game of the week. Hart also added four assists and three steals in the game.
