Men's Basketball - Mike Strobbe, McKendree College
Mike Strobbe of McKendree College has been chosen as the American Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 27. Strobbe, a 6-7 junior forward from Ferguson, Mo., averaged 21.5 points and 17 rebounds in two games last week. He had 20 points and a season-high 19 rebounds at Missouri Baptist University on Feb. 23, and followed that with a 23-point, 15-rebound performance versus Williams Baptist College on Feb. 25. Strobbe shot 65.4 percent from the field and 81.8 percent from the free throw line. He also added seven steals and a pair of assists. Strobbe, who now has recorded 18 double-doubles this season, is second in NAIA Division I in rebounding at 10.6 per game.

Women's Basketball - Theresa Goodwin, Hannibal-LaGrange College
Theresa Goodwin from Hannibal-LaGrange College is the Feb. 27 selection for AMC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Goodwin, a 5-10 junior guard from Oakland, Calif., led the Trojans to a pair of victories in the final week of the 2005-06 regular season. She averaged 18 points, six rebounds and five assists in those contests. Goodwin scored 22 points and dished out five assists in an 83-71 win against William Woods University in the regular-season finale on Feb. 25. She shot 57 percent from the field, 60 percent from three-point range and 78 percent from the charity stripe.
