Player of the Week - Mike Harmon, Harris-Stowe State College [Columbia, MO]
- Mike Harmon, a guard for the Harris-Stowe State College Hornets, has been
named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for men's basketball for the week
of Feb. 8-14. Despite the Hornets' three losses last week, Harmon proved unstoppable. The
6-2 senior averaged 29 points, five steals, three assists and three rebounds. In AMC
contests vs. Park College and McKendree College, Harmon eclipsed his average, going for 32
points in both outings. For the week, he shot 55 percent from the field, connecting on 29
of his 53 attempts, including six three-pointers. In addition, Harmon, who hails from East
St. Louis, hit 24 of his 25 free throws. |
