Player of the Week - Danna Gilbert, McKendree College

[Columbia, MO] - Danna Gilbert, a 5-7 junior guard for the McKendree College Bearcats, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for women's basketball for the week of Feb. 8-14. Gilbert led the Bearcats to an 83-65 victory over William Woods University last week, moving McKendree back into first place in the AMC standings. She scored 19 points, handed out three assists and swiped two steals. With the victory, McKendree remains undefeated on its home floor, extending its home win streak to fourteen games. Gilbert also helped McKendree claim a 94-55 victory over another AMC foe, Harris-Stowe State College. She added eight points, two assists and one steal in the effort.
