| Player of the Week - Betsy Cast, William Woods University [Columbia, MO] - Betsy Cast, a 5-8 senior guard for the William Woods University Owls, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week in women's basketball. A native of Holden, Mo., Cast scored 19 points in WWU's 64-53 victory over AMC foe, Harris-Stowe State College. She shot 67 percent from the field on eight-of-12 shooting, including three-of-six from behind the three point arc. Cast also collected two rebounds, passed out three assists and swiped three steals in addition to committing only one turnover. Also nominated: Danna Gilbert, McKendree College. |
