Olinga was fourth overall in the Border Wars Invitational Oct. 7 in Edwardsville, Ill. He recorded a time of 25:12 on the eight-kilometer course, which was 25 seconds faster than his time in last year's race. There were 317 runners that competed in the Border Wars Invitational.

Hometown: Eldama Ravine, Kenya

Birir finished 22nd out of 294 runners that entered the Border Wars Invitational in Edwardsville, Ill. She had a time of 18:51 over the five-kilometer course. This is the second time in 2006 that Birir has received AMC Runner of the Week honors.
