Hometown: Jefferson City, Mo.

Gale ran a personal-best over eight kilometers with a time of 26:09 at the NAIA Mid-States Classic in Winfield, Kan. He was 23rd out of 206 runners and helped the Owls to a seventh-place team finish. This is Gale's first AMC Runner of the Week honor.

Women's Cross Country
Loice Chipkorir

Hometown: Nairobi, Kenya

Chipkorir posted a time of 18:24 over the five-kilometer course at the NAIA Mid-States Classic in Winfield, Kan. She recorded a personal-best during the race and was third in a field of 196. Chipkorir played a big role in leading the Owls to the team championship. This is the second time in 2006 that Chipkorir has been named AMC Runner of the Week.
