Player of the Week - Matt Johnson, Harris-Stowe State University Lebanon, Ill.
- Matt Johnson, a forward from Harris-Stowe State University, has been
named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for the week of
Oct. 3-9. Johnson, a freshman from Milwaukee, Wisc., notched five goals in
three games on the week. Against Williams Baptist College Johnson scored
all four of the Hornets goals in helping his team to a 4-0 win and their
first win of the season. In the following game Johnson scored the only
goal of the game in a 1-0 win over Central Baptist College. Johnson leads
the Hornets in scoring this season with six goals for a total of 12
points.
