Player of the Week - Jenna Shellenberg, McKendree College

Lebanon, Ill. - Jenna Shellenberg of McKendree College has been selected as the American Midwest Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 9. Shellenberg, a 5-7 senior forward from Troy, Ill., scored three of the Bearcats' five goals on the week as McKendree stretched its win streak to six matches. She scored the first goal in a 3-1 home win over NAIA Region V foe Missouri Valley College. Shellenberg followed that by scoring both goals in a 2-0 win at Millikin University. With her two goals versus Millikin, Shellenberg became just the second player in school history to record 100 career points. She now stands at 103 points, and is closing in on the Bearcats' all-time scoring lead.
