Four teams are in action over the weekend, as Lyon hosts the Lyon College Invitational, which will include Williams Baptist. Cottey hosts the Cottey Invite and Central Baptist makes their season debut at the University of Dallas Invitational in Irving, Texas.
Jada O'Donnell of Columbia took home the first AMC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors of the season. O'Donnell led all runners across the finish line at the Principia Home Opener in a time of 16:40.
William Woods is currently receiving votes in the NAIA Preseason Coaches' Top-25 Poll. The Owls opened the 2022 season at the Saint Mary Showdown and took 3rd out of six teams.
Missouri Baptist holds the top-3 fastest 4K times in the league so far this season, while William Woods has the top-4 fastest 5K times.
Columbia won the Principa Home Opener a week ago, while Health Sciences & Pharmacy finished as the runner up.
In a field that feauted some NCAA DI programs, Missouri Baptist placed second at the Redhawks Invite.
