Cougars Sweep AMC Honors with Presidents’ Cup, Men’s and Women’s Sports Trophies
Written by Bruna Niederkorn, AMC Assistant Commissioner
ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Columbia College Cougars secured the 2025-26 Presidents' Cup Trophy with a total of 530 points, marking their ninth consecutive title. Columbia also captured both the Valerie Beeson Women's Sports Championship Trophy for the third straight year with 290 points and the Lowell Pitzer Men's Sports Trophy with 220 points, earning the honor for the second time in the award's history.
This represents only the second time that Columbia has won all three awards in the same year.
The Cougars delivered a dominant performance throughout the year, winning five conference championships in the fall (men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer and volleyball), four in the winter (men's and women's indoor track & field, and men's and women's basketball), and five more in the spring (men's and women's golf, men's and women's outdoor track & field, and baseball). Columbia only did not claim a first-place finish in just three sports all year.
Williams Baptist won the softball regular season, while Oklahoma City won competitive cheer and St. Ambrose claimed the competitive dance title.
Among the top performers in the Presidents' Cup standings were Williams Baptist University (2nd), University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy (3rd), and Central Baptist College (t-4th), each achieving the highest finish in program history.

About the All-Sports Trophies:
The Presidents' Cup is awarded to the institution accumulating the most points, determined by final regular-season standings in the 17 conference championship sports.
The Valerie Beeson Women's Sports Championship Trophy was named in honor of Valerie Beeson-longtime Conference Eligibility Chair, AMC Hall of Fame inductee, and 2001 NAIA Hall of Fame honoree. The trophy is awarded to the school with the highest point total across all women's championship sports.
The Lowell Pitzer Men's Sports Championship Trophy was named after longtime AMC Commissioner and Missouri Baptist athletics figure Lowell Pitzer, AMC Hall of Fame inductee, and 2013 NAIA Hall of Fame honoree. The award honors the school with the highest point total across all men's championship sports.
Points are awarded in a manner that the Conference champion receives five times the number of teams sponsoring each sport, each subsequent team receives five fewer points than the team finishing above it (with the last-place team earning five points). Should teams tie in the final standings, the total number of available points among the tied spots will be combined then divided by the number of tied teams.
