AMC Baseball All-Tournament Team
St. Louis, Mo.- The American Midwest Conference (AMC) announced the 2024 Baseball All-Tournament Team. The 13-player team is led by Tournament Most Valuable Player Alex Adams, a shortstop from Missouri Baptist University.
The All-Tournament Team was selected by the six tournament-qualifying coaches. The MVP is voted on by a selection committee made up of the AMC staff and two coaches.
Adams led the Spartans to their first AMC Tournament title since 2016 with four multi-hit games during the Tournament. He finished with a .588 average (10-for-17), a .941 slugging percentage, six RBI and four runs scored.
In their Tournament opener, Adams went 3-for-5 in Missouri Baptist's 12-2 win over Williams Baptist. Adams followed that performance with two extra-base hits (a double and home run in four at-bats) in the Spartans' 4-3 victory over Central Baptist. He drove in three of the team's four runs. Adams' second three-hit game of the Tournament came in Missouri Baptist's lone loss (11-7). In the Tournament clincher, Adams went 2-for-4, with two RBI and a run scored.
